Rangers Set £20m Asking Price for Star as West Ham Eye Move

Rangers defender Emmanuel Fernandez is attracting interest from a number of clubs, including West Ham, and the Scottish outfit have now set their asking price, according to Football Insider.
Fernandez has enjoyed an impressive spell with the Glasgow giants after making the move from English side Peterborough.
The 24-year-old has made 20 starts in the Scottish Premiership so far this season, becoming a real threat for them in both boxes. Despite being a centre-back, Fernandez has scored five times for Rangers, and he’s become an important player under Danny Rohl.
Rangers paid just a few million pounds to bring Fernandez to the club during the last summer transfer window, so there’s no doubt they could make a significant profit if they did decide to offload him later this year.

Rangers Set Fernandez Asking Price

According to a report from Football Insider, Rangers have now set their asking price for Fernandez, amid interest from the Premier League, including West Ham.
It’s claimed that the Glasgow giants could demand in the region of £20m for the defender, meaning Rangers could make a profit of over £15m if they decide to sell him.
Rangers’ best chance of keeping hold of Fernandez this summer would be to qualify for Champions League football, but there’s no guarantee of that with the title race so close.
Even if a club like West Ham decides to make an offer, Rangers will be hoping they can convince the defender to stay, but it would be incredibly difficult for them to turn down a bid in the region of £20m if it does arrive at the table.
Rangers Need to Stay Strong

The Glasgow club will be wanting to take a step ahead of their Scottish rivals Celtic and Hearts, especially if they qualify for the Champions League this season.
Keeping their key players will be imperative, while continuing to strengthen the squad with new additions, rather than weakening it.
At the age of 24, Fernandez could be the future of Rangers’ defence, while he’s also making a strong impact in the present.
