Nicolas Raskin could now fast-track Rangers departure after new development

Nicolas Raskin may leave due to the lack of Champions League qualification
A 2-1 defeat against Hearts at Tynecastle meant that the Light Blues are now unlikely to win the league and will miss out on Champions League football next season.
This could be all it takes for Raskin to part ways with the club, as he is unlikely to be short on options this summer.
The Belgium international’s stock is expected to rise after the World Cup, as he’s expected to be a regular for his national team.

Rangers News already reported that Raskin is unlikely to sign a new contract, which could see the Ibrox outfit looking to cash in this summer.
There is a belief that Rangers can make up to £30m from the sale of the midfielder, and that option may be considered in the coming months.
With it becoming clear that he will not be playing in the Champions League next season in Glasgow, he could look to fast-track his exit.

Do Rangers hold the cards in negotiations for Raskin?
Rangers do have the advantage that Raskin’s contract does not run out this summer, but if he is not signing a new deal, there is little they can do.
They either have to cash in when his valuation is high or hope that he changes his mind in the coming months and then signs an extension.
If he does not do that, they will lose him on the cheap and that will not be a wise move from the owners’ perspective.
Big decisions need to be made about the future of the club, and one of the most important ones is to gauge Raskin’s situation and see if he’s willing to stay at Ibrox.
