Nuno Espirito Santo has readymade replacement at West Ham United amid Mads Hermansen exit twist
Nuno Espirito Santo will be planning not just for the January transfer window but also for the futures of some of the current players at West Ham beyond the summer.
The Portuguese has inherited certain players who do not fit his philosophy, and he could ask the West Ham board to part ways with them in the coming weeks or months.
Mads Hermansen has a shocking record…
He has to be the worst-ever signing for West Ham in the Premier League…

Who even sanctioned this signing? Will be lucky to get £18 back at this rate never mind £18m

I honestly think he has to be up there. £18m, four games, eleven goals conceded. In terms of bang for your buck, this is disastrous

One of many! But signing a goalkeeper from a relegated side will never sit right with me.
Serie A teams want to sign Hermansen and the Irons are understood to be willing to cut their losses after signing him for £20million in the summer.
Nuno Espirito Santo could turn to the West Ham academy
Having Areola as his number one means that Nuno does not have to go into the January transfer window desperate for a new keeper.
With Hermansen’s potential exit raising funds, that money could then be used to strengthen other areas.
Instead of having Lukasz Fabianski as the second choice in that instance, the Portuguese could decide to promote Finlay Herrick.
Fin Herrick is certainly the best West Ham academy keeper we’ve seen in years. When wil Nuno give him his first-team debut?
The young keeper’s exploits were on show for the Under-21s against Colchester United and he proved that he can deliver in high-pressure situations.
He made seven saves in that game and George Earthy scored the winner to ensure the West Ham youngsters won 1-0.
Herrick, 19, was on loan at Boreham Wood, but that ended quicker than expected, ensuring he could make his first start for the Under-21s after returning this week.
Nuno could use this opportunity as a way to promote him and get him to train with the first team, making him a readymade Hermansen replacement.

West Ham fans will love what Herrick said after the game
There were 1600 fans who made the journey to support the young Hammers and they certainly got their money’s worth.
They even chanted the Englishman’s name after the win and that’s something he admired.
He told the club’s official website: “Getting nearly 1,600 people to sing your name at the end of a game is an indescribable feeling for a young footballer, and it just makes you feel like you belong at the club.
“These are the moments you play football for. If you don’t want to be the hero, you’re lying to yourself!”
Fans are certainly going to soak these quotes in, as he is one of their own, and they surely cannot wait to see him representing the first team in the near future.
