Emotional LeBron James Prepared for Tears After Son Bryce James’ Life-Changing Move

LeBron James came into the world of basketball as a self-made man from the inner-city of Akron, Ohio. Over his career, James has gone on to become a billionaire and arguably the greatest player of all time.

His status and influence in the world of basketball are second to none, also evidenced by the opportunities people close to him get.

Rich Paul became the most powerful sports agent in the NBA after starting out as James’ close associate, and James’ eldest son, Bronny, is now on an NBA roster alongside him.

Paul maximized and enhanced the opportunities he got, while we’re yet to see how Bronny’s career pans out.

Now the opportunities will fall to James’ youngest son, Bryce, who’s headed off to play for the Arizona Wildcats for his freshman NCAA season. James discussed how Bryce’s departure for Tucson will impact his offseason on the ‘Mind the Game’ podcast with Steve Nash.

“My youngest son is headed off to college soon, so that’s another bird out the nest. Another emotional moment coming up with Bryce going off to Tucson to be an Arizona Wildcat.”

Bryce James is the 86th-ranked recruit in his high school class, classified as a three-star prospect by 247 Sports. Bronny graduated from high school as a five-star prospect, so Bryce has some ways to go in terms of his development.

Given the NCAA struggles Bronny had, it’ll be best to temper expectations for Bryce, who looks like a multi-year NCAA prospect right now.

He’s currently officially listed as 6’4″ but many have reported him being closer to 6’6″ heading into his freshman season. He’s a two-guard who’ll likely hope to develop into a solid 3-and-D NBA role-player after a few seasons in college.

But we know if he wants to join the NBA regardless of how his freshman season pans out, some team will be willing to take a flyer on Bryce as a second-round pick.
