Pundit: Steven Gerrard to become next Rangers manager
A PLZ Soccer pundit has enough reasons to believe Steven Gerrard is returning as the Rangers manager this summer.
The Light Blues are confirmed to finish third in the Scottish Premiership after they lost 3-1 against Celtic on Sunday.
Having lost three games in a row post the split and failing to win the title, Danny Rohl is under immense pressure going into the summer.
Danny Rohl could leave amid links to Wolfsburg…
Who do you see replacing him?

Steven Gerrard will be the new Rangers manager, says Tam McManus
Tam McManus is not convinced that Rohl has done enough to remain as the Gers manager next season.
The German tactician did well to push Rangers back into the title race after replacing Russell Martin in October, but has left much to be desired of late.
Three consecutive defeats at the peak of a title race raise major question marks about Rohl’s calibre, and McManus is of the view that he will not survive the sack.

The former Hibernian man has been hearing murmurs behind the scenes in recent weeks and has enough reasons to believe Gerrard will take the reins at Ibrox in the summer.
Speaking on PLZ Soccer, he said: “Steven Gerrard will be the next manager of Rangers, I think, in the summer. I think he [Rohl] will be gone. It’s just not now, it’s what I’ve been hearing in the last couple of months in the background.”
Why Gerrard will face a different challenge at Ibrox if he returns
Gerrard is remembered fondly by the Rangers faithful after he led them to glory in the 2020-21 season, when they remained unbeaten in the title race.
The Englishman has been linked with a return to Ibrox on multiple occasions since he departed to take over as the Aston Villa boss in 2021.
It appears he is in the frame for the job once again, with Rohl’s future as the Rangers boss now in doubt.
Will Steven Gerrard become the next Rangers managers?
Tam McManus believes Danny Rohl will be sacked…

While the Liverpool icon will be keen to regain his reputation as a manager, he must know that he will be facing a harder challenge if he returns to Glasgow.
Apart from Celtic, he will also have to thwart Hearts, who are in the driving seat to win the title this term.
Rangers themselves have been the subject of several changes and rebuilds in recent years, while the new owners are still finding their feet in Scotland.
Therefore, the fans must think twice before they decide Gerrard is the man to lead the team forward next season.
