Jarrod Bowen puts David Sullivan in spotlight after stunning West Ham leak
West Ham chief David Sullivan has been put firmly in the spotlight by captain Jarrod Bowen after a new leak from the player’s camp.
The Hammers are no longer in control of their own destiny following a disastrous weekend of results.
West Ham were beaten 3-0 at Brentford while Spurs beat Villa 2-1 to dump Nuno Espirito Santo’s side back into the relegation zone with three games left.
Leeds and Forest also made themselves all but officially safe with wins to rub salt in West Ham wounds.
Stunning Bowen leak puts Sullivan in spotlight at West Ham
There are so many factors to relegation, the main one being the inevitable loss of the club’s leading players.

Bowen vowed to retire at West Ham when he signed a new seven-year deal – with the option for an eighth – back in October 2023.
He has been chipping away at becoming the club’s all-time leading Premier League goalscorer ever since.

But that will not happen if the Hammers drop into the Championship.
Bowen is a certified West Ham legend and his departure is as inevitable as it is heartbreaking should West Ham be relegated.
Bowen has been out of sorts for the last five months after carrying the team on his back for so long – but he has still been one of West Ham’s key players.
His departure would be felt more deeply than any other if West Ham are demoted. But there has been much speculation he may leave even if they stay up.
Now Sullivan can’t use Bowen to plug financial gap if Hammers survive
Especially after West Ham’s owners confirmed player sales would be the first port of call to ease the club’s woeful financial position after they posted £104m losses in their latest accounts.
With further big losses in excess of £80m on the way in the next accounts and a staggering £196m owed to other clubs in transfer instalments, many are predicting a fire sale regardless of what division the Hammers end up in next term.
What would you say if Sullivan put West Ham up for sale TODAY?

However, skipper Bowen has now put West Ham chief David Sullivan and the board right in the spotlight.
Because Bowen’s camp has leaked to talkSPORT sources that he is “willing to stay” at West Ham as long as they remain in the Premier League next season.

Liverpool and Newcastle are credited with an interest in Bowen but sources have indicated he won’t push for a move if they stay in the Premier League.
That means Sullivan would not have a Bowen get out of jail free card to play to repair the damage done to West Ham’s financial position.
Bowen would comfortably raise at least £50-60m, even if West Ham were relegated.
Sullivan and the West Ham board have proved they have no qualms about selling to rivals and that kind of money would be tempting for the Hammers’ hierarchy.
With Bowen declaring he wants to stay if West Ham survive – and now very much ensuring that information goes public – he is putting the ball firmly in Sullivan’s court over his future.
Because it would take a brave – or stupid – owner to sell the club’s captain and star player when fans are already revolting.
