Pablo Felipe slammed by West Ham fans as doubts grow after Brentford defeat
West Ham United fans were not happy with Pablo Felipe’s performance against Brentford on Saturday.
Saturday was a tough day for those who back Pablo to come good, a perhaps ever-diminishing selection of onlookers – including the one writing this article.
Indeed, Pablo struggled for West Ham against Brentford, and he duly invoked the ire of supporters online.
On a scale of 1-10, how confident are you about staying up now? 👀

While not even his most ardent defender would suggest Pablo is convincing in front of goal, part of the reason he is in the team is because of his work rate.
Still, given the manner of the defeat to Brentford, supporters were always likely to vent their frustration, and Pablo was on the receiving end of some.

Supporters who subscribe to TalkingPoints – a free online platform to discuss everything about the club on Hammers News – were unhappy with his performance.
Hammers News ran a poll asking who West Ham’s worst performer against the Bees was and the January transfer window signing amassed 56.2% of the vote.
What did YOU make of the refereeing controversy at Brentford?
No pen on Soucek? Really?

The comments were equally as damning at times.
One supporter wrote: “He was too slow making decisions. He should have been hooked at the end of the 1st half.”
Another added: “He’s simply not good enough and he knows it, he’s out of his depth. If we go down he’s not good enough for the Championship.”
One comment read: “He was constantly reluctant to go forward.”
“Not sure Pablo is up to the fight we are in,” was another comment.

Pablo Felipe’s biggest problem was chanted for by West Ham fans
The issue that both Pablo and fellow forward Taty Castellanos have right now is the looming spectre of Callum Wilson.
Minutes before Wilson – a much more reliable source of goals at Premier League level – was introduced against Brentford, there were audible calls for him to come on the pitch from the away fans at the Gtech Community Stadium.
In an ideal world, a striker as good as Wilson would start up front. Whether he can do so regularly, however, at this stage of his career is up for debate.
The Wilson-Pablo debate rages on and the latter did not do his case of winning it much good on Saturday.
