‘Complete agreement’ over Charlie Cresswell transfer as West Ham receive £30m boost
Charlie Cresswell will be on the move this summer. Whether West Ham United or the Premier League is his destination, though, only time will tell.
Ligue 1 outfit Toulouse rejected a loan-to-buy bid from the Hammers during the dying embers of the summer transfer window in 2025.
Now, with West Ham United continuing to keep a close eye on the England Under-21 international, Les Violets accept that retaining Charlie Cresswell’s services for a further 12 months is likely to be beyond them.

West Ham United target Charlie Cresswell will leave Toulouse
President Oliver Cloarec was speaking to RMC Sport after Toulouse were thrashed 4-1 by title-challengers RC Lens in the Coupe de France semi-finals this week.
“We’re in complete agreement [that summer sales will happen],” the president says, Cresswell set to depart alongside striker Frank Magri and winger Yan Gboho.

“But this isn’t unique to Toulouse FC; [letting key players go for a profit] is the model for French football.
“We managed to keep them last summer and this winter. There will be sales this summer, and other players will replace them.”
Since West Ham’s failed approach in 2025, Cresswell has reportedly attracted attention from Manchester United, Man City and Liverpool, among others.
Toulouse are expected to demand a fee in the region of £30 million, having also turned down substantial offers from Bundesliga strugglers Wolfsburg in the winter.
