Graham Dorrans gets up at 4am to watch Rangers in LA – and admits he never thought they’d be in a title race after Russell Martin left.
The former Ibrox midfielder is good pals with the Englishman after playing together at the club as well as at Norwich City, and was gutted at how things turned out for him.
He accepted the sacking was the right decision though given how results were going. He just never envisaged another manager coming in and potentially winning the league after Martin delivered just one win in the first eight games.
Dorrans admits there is an element of luck about Rangers still being in a title race, although the same can be said about Celtic.
And he reckons if his old club are top of the pile after the Old Firm derby on May 10, they will go on to see it through.
