Miami Heat: Golden State Warriors Make Bold Trade Decision Amid Jimmy Butler Interest

Stephen Curry needs help. That has become clear from some of his recent displays as the Golden State Warriors’ early season form now feels like a distant memory. Against the Memphis Grizzlies, he failed to make a single field goal in 24 minutes.

Curry might be the greatest shooter ever but Father Time catches up with everyone. So, if the Golden State Warriors are not quick, they will miss their narrow window of competing for another Championship with number 30 as the face of the team.

Jimmy Butler is one player the Warriors have been heavily linked with. The 35-year-old’s future with the Miami Heat is up in the air as it has been suggested that he could opt out of his player option for next season.

Naturally, that means that it is worth keeping an eye on a possible Butler trade as the Heat surely would like to keep their options open and do their best to not lose him as a free agent.

On the other hand, it looks like the Warriors have softened their trade stance as well, which could help facilitate a move.

According to Brett Siegel on Clutch Points, ever since the Warriors lost to the Houston Rockets in the NBA Cup quarterfinals, the team have been ramping up their activities on the trade market. There is more of a willingness to discuss the likes of Jonathan Kuminga, Moses Moody, and Brandin Podziemski in trade discussions than ever before.

In the summer, it was believed that the Warriors were not keen on including the likes of Kuminga and Podziemski in trade discussions, even when it came to a possible move for Paul George.

Since then, it looks like their stance has changed, having seen the team struggle for results lately. Could it lead to Butler ending up in a Warriors jersey? Time shall tell.
