Cowboys CB Trevon Diggs, reporter apologize for postgame incident after 49ers game
FRISCO – Cowboys cornerback Trevon Diggs apologized to WFAA-TV reporter Mike Leslie on Wednesday afternoon for his actions following last week’s game against the 49ers.
Diggs was upset at a social media post by Leslie regarding his effort on a pass play.
On Sunday night, Diggs When Leslie offered to “talk about“ it with Diggs further in the visitor’s locker room, the cornerback said, “talk about deez nuts.”
Diggs did not speak formally with reporters after the game.

But on Wednesday he spoke for nearly 10 minutes about his play, his brother’s injury, and of course what occurred between him and Leslie.
Diggs gave as a peace offering. Both men smiled and hugged, with Leslie also saying he was wrong for assuming Diggs wasn’t trying hard.
“From my viewpoint, I didn’t think I did anything wrong,” Diggs said. “But everyone has their own opinion.”
Later Diggs said: “Yeah, I shouldn’t [have] reacted the way I reacted. I apologize for that. Most of it caught me at the right time.”

“It’s sad, I just felt for him because I know exactly what he’s going through,” Trevon Diggs said. “I literally just went through all of that. I make sure I’m there for him. Just keep his head up. I know he wanted to be alone a little minute, I just gave him his space, let him think about everything.”
