Rangers announce Callum Burnside makes PFA Scotland League One Team of the Year
Rangers announced, via their academy account on X, that Burnside had made the PFA Scotland League One Team of the Year.
The 19-year-old has scored nine goals and registered three assists in 23 games in League One and has been one of Alloa’s standout performers.
He has also done well for them in the Challenge Cup, as he scored two goals and provided two assists in five games.

Primarily a left winger, the Northern Irishman has also been deployed in midfield, but has continued to contribute despite playing in a deeper position.
Due to his performances, Burnside also earned his debut call-up to the Northern Ireland Under-21s side during the international break.
He seems on course to make his senior international debut as well, in the coming years.

Danny Rohl could hand Burnside his debut next season
Burnside has another year left on his deal at Ibrox and will do all he can in order to impress Rohl in pre-season.
There is a good chance that the Northern Irishman remains at the club next season and features for the reserves while training with the first team.
Rohl could even give him his debut in the Scottish League Cup, as he is playing at a level that surely merits that.
Rangers will also want to make a decision whether or not they want him at the club beyond the end of next season.
The best way to gauge that would be to see how he handles the pressure of playing for the first team and if he does a good job, he could be handed a new contract.
