Gerrard, 45, was Rangers manager from 2018 until 2021.
He oversaw a major transformation of the club’s fortunes and led the Light Blues to a first league title in a decade in 2021.
Just a few months later, he left to take over at Aston Villa.
After being axed just a year later in 2022, he returned to management with Alternative in Saudi Arabia in July 2023 and spend 18 months in the role.

But ultimately, Gerrard cited timing as the main reason for his withdrawal from the process.
He explained: “It felt a bit rushed to me because I had my family in Bahrain and I had a lot to think about in a short space of time.
“There were a few things that I was uncertain about.
“If I’m going to take on a challenge that important – I have that connection with Rangers – for me to take it on, it had to be perfect.
“I had to be 100 per cent ready and unfortunately I wasn’t due to the timing.”
Since then, Gerrard has returned from living in Bahrain to the UK.
His family are also now back in the country and Gerrard has become a regular pundit for TNT Sports across Champions League and Premier League coverage.
Now, Gerrard insists he’s more ready than he has been to make his return to football management.
Speaking to fellow TNT pundit Ally McCoist on talkSPORT, Gerrard insisted he isn’t “desperate” for a new boss job but says he’s “all ears” for the right opportunity.
He said: “I’m more ready than I have been.
“My family are back home in Liverpool, the kids are all settled at school.
“I’m more ready than I have been. I’m all ears.
“But at the same time, I’m not chasing. I’m not searching, I’m not desperate.
“I’m in a good place.
“Work-life balance is fantastic at the moemnt but if the right opportunity comes, I’m all ears to listen to that.
“But I’m having a fantastic time at TNT with Ally and the boys and the girls, covering some big games.”
Gerrard’s decision not to talk the Rangers job back in October left many Light Blues fans gutted.
The job ultimately went to Danny Rohl who has completely transformed the club’s season.
The Gers had won just one of their first seven Premiership games under Russell Martin and already found themselves 11 points behind Hearts at the time of his sacking.
That gap extended further to 13 points when the Gers were held by Dundee United at Ibrox with Steven Smith in caretaker charge prior to Rohl taking charge.
Now, Rangers are firmly in the title race and went top of the league for the first time in two years on Saturday, with Hearts reclaiming the position a day later.
With six games left to go, Rangers are just a point off the top.
The job Rohl has done at Ibrox has been praised by Gerrard as “immaculate.”
He said: “I dare say he’s been phenomenal, what was it, 13 points off the top?
“What a job. He’s come in, he’s said all the right things, he’s tweaked things on the pitch, he’s signed good players in January.
“I think he’s been immaculate.
