Trust in Me: Andrew Cavenagh Urges Patience from Rangers Fans After Bold Prediction of Head Coach Replacement

Rangers fans can’t be petulant, Andrew Cavenagh to demand patience after bold prediction

Andrew Cavenagh and 49ers Enterprises had one agenda on their mind after taking over Rangers.

The American owners want to return the Gers to the upper echelons of Scottish football, bringing success back to G51.

There was a slight glitch in Cavenagh’s plans when Kevin Thelwell and Russell Martin looked to sink the Givan side’s ship before they had even left the dock, subsequently leading to their dismissals.

Danny Rohl is now facing pressure at Ibrox despite turning the tide at the Glaswegian outfit, with some sections of the fanbase underwhelmed by the recent results against Celtic.

Danny Rohl will bring glory to Rangers under Andrew Cavenagh

Rohl deserves immense credit for bringing the Gers back into contention to win the William Hill Premiership this season, but that still isn’t enough for some supporters.

The German manager was unable to get the better of Martin O’Neill in the Scottish Cup at Ibrox on 8 March, prompting questions about his credentials to succeed in Govan.

In a matter of a week, Celtic first took two points off their Old Firm rivals and then knocked their hopes of lifting silverware in the current campaign.

Despite the justified disappointment in G51, a little faith in the American owners could go a long way, with a title parade expected at Ibrox within the next year.

Speaking on The Breakdown with Charlie Mulgrew, Kevin Thomson said, “I think the club are in good hands when you talk about recruitment and the investment they have made. The harsh reality is that Rangers fans will just say “I want to win” as that’s what the club wants and expects.

‌”But I’ve got a bold prediction. If they don’t have a successful year trophy-wise, I think they are in good hands to be favourites for the title next year.”

Ibrox faithful should demand one change from Danny Rohl

Rohl may not be safe at Ibrox if he’s unable to prove himself in the big matches at Rangers.

The German manager has to ensure the Gers put up some convincing performances from now until the end of the season and hope Hearts and Celtic drop points.

There should be pressure from supporters on Rohl to finish games off against the league’s top teams, not just lay down their swords.

The 36-year-old head coach will undoubtedly be helpless if he can’t convince fans that he’s the right man for the job, but Cavenagh surely won’t want to see petulance from supporters, with success possibly on the horizon.
