Myth busted as behaviour of West Ham fans leaves Nuno and Bowen in awe
West Ham fans busted a ridiculous myth as they left head coach Nuno Espirito Santo and captain Jarrod Bowen in awe of their behaviour at Fulham.
The Hammers beat in-form Fulham 1-0 at Craven Cottage on Wednesday night to give themselves real hope of Premier League survival.
West Ham are now level on 28 points with 17th-placed Nottingham Forest with nine games to go.
Crysencio Summerville with the winning goal and Mads Hermansen with two match-winning saves, stole the show for the Hammers.
Nuno and Bowen gush over ‘special’ West Ham fans
But the real stars were sat in the away end at Craven Cottage.
Because the behaviour of West Ham fans at Fulham left Nuno Espirito Santo and Jarrod Bowen in awe – busting a big myth in the process.
Who was your MOTM against Fulham and why? 🤔

Hammers fans often get a bad rap.
West Ham fans are accused of being demanding, hard to please or fickle.
Their belief in the West Ham way is mocked and derided by pundits, journalists, rival fans and even former managers.
Right now, though, the Hammers faithful don’t care how their team plays as long as they get the points on the board to stay in the Premier League.

Supporters have also taken a lot of flak from some quarters of the media and the club’s hierarchy this season, alleging their season-long protests against the owners have had a negative impact on the team.
If that is the opinion of some in the press and director’s boxes, then it is not a view shared by the two most important people in West Ham’s dressing room, head coach Nuno and his captain Bowen.
When asked to assess the huge win at Fulham, Nuno admitted the thing that impressed him most was the behaviour of West Ham’s knowledgeable fanbase.
Myth busted that West Ham fans are negatively impacting the team
“A special word for our fans,” Nuno told West Ham TV.
“I think they understand the moment of the team, the need that the team has for their support and today, it goes for them.
“We cannot thank them enough, honestly. The noise from our supporters was amazing.
“We were there suffering and the way they are supporting our players, I think they realise, I repeat myself, they realise of the moment of the Club and we need them all.
“The players are responding.”
Bowen shared Nuno’s sentiments on the fans, revealing how much the players appreciated their relentless support and sharing celebrations with them at the end of the game.
“The celebrations together at the end, it means so much to us,” Bowen told West Ham TV.
“It means so much to the fans as well. To have that moment that we haven’t had for a few weeks, where we can celebrate three points, is unbelievable.
“That’s what they (the fans) do. That’s what they bring. We haven’t given them enough times, like we had after the game, this season. But you wouldn’t know it because of the support they’ve given us.
“I think they knew how big this game was. We knew how big this game was. And we’re all together as a Club, and that’s the most important thing.
“Yes, we’re all disappointed with the position. But when we have results like we did tonight, we see the celebrations to celebrate them together. It really means a lot.”
