Chris Sutton shares ‘incredible’ Rangers title race prediction as Ibrox observation made

Rangers are in the midst of a fierce Scottish Premiership title race and Chris Sutton has now named his favourites to win the league.
The Gers currently sit second, three points behind table-topping Hearts and really starting to pile the pressure on Derek McInnes’ side.
Celtic are a further three points adrift of the league leaders, but have a game in hand over the two teams above them.
Danny Rohl is looking to guide Rangers to their first title since 2021, when they reached 102 points under Steven Gerrard.

Chris Sutton still has Hearts as favourites
Back when Rohl took over from Russell Martin, nobody could’ve believed that Rangers would eventually be in a title race.
The former Sheffield Wednesday boss was appointed at a time when the Gers sat sixth in the Scottish Premiership, 13 points adrift of Hearts at the top of the table.
Rangers were in disarray, but Rohl has managed to turn the situation around and slowly close the gap to McInnes’ side.
However, despite the fact that Rangers have picked up 10 more points than Hearts since Rohl came in, former Celtic striker Sutton still doesn’t think the Gers are in the driving seat.
Speaking on BBC Radio 5 Live, Sutton was asked who the current favourites for the title were, and replied: “Hearts still, just.”
Sutton went on to speak about the nervy atmosphere creeping in around Ibrox, now that the Bears are in with a realistic chance of winning the league.
He said: “Rohl has talked in the last couple of weeks about the fans getting a little bit nervy and a little bit edgy at Ibrox.
“It’s because of the performances, and that they’ve closed the gap at the top. It’s going to be an incredible title race.”
Rangers set for decisive few weeks
Whether or not Rangers are currently favourites for the title remains up for debate, but we will know a lot more within the next few weeks.
Between now and the first weekend of March, the Gers face all three of the other teams in the top four, in a run that could decide their season.
Rangers take on fourth-place Motherwell at Fir Park on Wednesday, before welcoming Hearts to Ibrox next Sunday.
