European club ‘told’ Nicolas Raskin Rangers transfer exit lay of the land
Nicolas Raskin has rejected the chance to leave Rangers for a major European club this month, it has been reported.
Transfer speculation has surrounded the Belgium international since his relationship with former Gers head coach, Russell Martin, became fractured.
However, the midfielder has been a mainstay in the side under Danny Rohl, as the Ibrox club make a push for the Scottish Premiership title.
Besiktas are said to have made an approach for the 24-year-old this month.
Reports in Türkiye have claimed that the Istanbul-based giants ‘contacted’ Rangers and Raskin’s representatives over the prospect of a move.
However, Fotospor say that the Turkish outfit were told Raskin would not consider leaving Glasgow unless he was headed for one of Europe’s top five leagues.
It’s said that he would only want to move from Rangers if an offer from a Premier League, Bundesliga, La Liga, Serie A or Ligue 1 side materialised.
