Nuno hits the nail on the head with new West Ham verdict, it’s brilliant
West Ham United are proving Nuno Espirito Santo right at last.
Nuno’s tenure in charge of West Ham United has so far been little short of a disaster.
It, however, has been a fine week for the 51-year-old. His team dug deep to secure FA Cup progress on Sunday before West Ham beat Tottenham in the Premier League on Saturday.
Callum Wilson at the death!
But who was your West Ham Man of the Match and why?
Neither performance really convinced over the course of 90 minutes. There were promising signs but the Hammers do tend to cede control a bit too easily.
Still, credit where credit is due. They’ve shown resilience and character to win their last two games, offering signs of life.
Nuno certainly believes that.
Nuno praises West Ham’s resilience
The manager was speaking to West Ham United’s official website after the game.
Nuno spoke of the way in which his side defended, denying Spurs many clear cut chances. The manner in which they responded after Cristian Romero’s goal had got his side back into it was also impressive.
West Ham were under the cosh and, in times gone by, they may well have buckled.
Pretend you call the shots – what are you doing over Callum Wilson’s future?
Match winner 😍

Clearly, they still have a lot of improving to do, but Nuno is right to praise his players in that respect.
“There were a lot of balls in our box, but the players were resilient, they showed character and belief to keep the ball from going in the net,” he said.
“And then always with the hope that our luck is there for us to work for it. And I think, rightly so, we deserve it.”
West Ham fans have something to shout about at last
It’s brilliant to see West Ham show a bit of heart. It’s been quite the response to that dreadful defeat to Wolves, even if the Hammers lost the following game to Nottingham Forest.
Nuno’s side played reasonably well against Forest and have now claimed two hugely important victories in quick succession by showing character and resilience.
It would have been natural for a few fans to have given up on this team following that defeat to Wolves. Now, however, West Ham are starting to show that their fate is not yet sealed.
