West Ham now want to sign English man-mountain centre-back in January
West Ham United centre-back Max Kilman could be finished at the London Stadium.
That’s because West Ham are believed to be eyeing the addition of a colossal English central defender in the January transfer window.
The Hammers paid £40 million to sign Kilman in 2024 and that now looks like a monumental mistake from the club.
The 28-year-old has proven to be one of the worst centre-backs West Ham have had at the club in recent history.
How would YOU respond to Gary Lineker?
And if you could rate West Ham’s survival chances out of 10, what would you say?

If we beat Spurs tomorrow and Forest lose to Arsenal, I genuinely give us about a 6/10 chance of staying up. Need some more signings first though!
Kilman is a mistake waiting to happen for West Ham every single time he takes to the pitch, and Nuno Espirito Santo is clearly desperate to bring in an upgrade on the former Wolves man.
The good news is that the Hammers have seemingly identified someone who is head and shoulders above Kilman.
And he should be more than attainable this window…
West Ham want to sign English centre-back to replace Max Kilman
If West Ham are to avoid relegation down to the Championship this season, Kilman simply cannot play another game for the club.
That may sound harsh but there is no room for sentiment in elite level sport.
The Wolves board members must have been hysterically laughing when the Hammers submitted a £40 million offer for the former Maidenhead centre-back.
If you could pick only ONE of these players to join West Ham, who are you choosing?
The Hammers have made approaches for all four…

The former Wolves defender simply isn’t good enough and Nuno will be playing with fire if he plays him again.
The good news is that the Hammers boss must be thinking along similar lines.
Nuno is said to be targeting a centre-back who has really impressed in the Championship this term.
Bobby Thomas a target for West Ham
According to a report from the Daily Mail, Coventry City centre-back Bobby Thomas is on the Hammers’ radar this month.

Standing at 6ft 4in tall, Thomas is a colossal central defender and he has been simply brilliant for Frank Lampard’s side this season.
In 22 Championship appearances for Coventry this season, he has averaged one tackle, one interception, 5.6 clearances and four successful aerial duels per match (Who Scored).
He is an absolute warrior and is well known for his leadership skills.
There is no doubt whatsoever that Thomas would be a huge improvement on Kilman for West Ham.
And if Nuno manages to bring him to the London Stadium in the January transfer window, the Hammers fans should feel slightly more confident about avoiding the drop.
