West Ham youngster thinks he’s finally found the right club after loan move confirmed

West Ham youngster Junior Robinson has made quite the move already in the January transfer window.

On Friday, it was confirmed that West Ham had terminated Robinson’s loan at Livingston, with the young defender now joining Boreham Wood in the National League.

The 21-year-old, who has played for England at U15 level, will hope to lead The Wood into the Football League at the end of the season.

Out of 10, how CONFIDENT are you that Nuno can still save West Ham?

Currently, Luke Garrard’s side sit second in the National League table and are only two points behind leaders Carlisle.

It could yet be a successful season for Robinson, despite his lack of action in Scotland.

Now, he’s sent his first message to Boreham Wood supporters after leaving West Ham once again.

It’s quite the move for the defender, both in terms of geography and in terms of level.

    MORE WEST HAM STORIES

Though a lot is made about the exact strength of the Scottish Premiership, it’s still a topflight decision.

With no disrespect to Boreham Wood, there can’t be that many players who leave one of those for the National League.

Still, Robinson believes he’s landed at the right club now.

“I want to win all the time,” he said in a video posted on Boreham Wood’s official X account.

“In training every day, I want to win. I want to come here and help you guys win. I see myself fitting in really well and helping the team out.”

Nuno admits these four could all be leaving West Ham…

How do you feel about what could be a BIG January overhaul?

Livingston confirm why West Ham terminated Junior Robinson’s loan move

In total, Robinson made just one 14-minute appearance for a team marooned at the bottom of the Scottish Premiership.

Despite the fact that Robinson barely played for Livingston, it seems as if they wanted to keep him.

The Livingston manager admitted it was West Ham’s decision rather than anything to do with the Scottish club.

Shortly before his move was confirmed, boss David Martindale said: “I was keen to keep him for the rest of the season as I felt he would have played more in the second half of the campaign, but nothing is guaranteed.

“I think it’s only fair that we agree to let Junior return to West Ham to potentially get back out on loan somewhere else, and back playing every week as he is a young player with a lot of potential.”

It does seem like a good idea from a West Ham perspective. What is the point of Robinson staying up in Scotland without ever playing?

Clearly, it was the wrong club for him at the time but Robinson certainly appears to believe that he’s finally found the right one now.
