Max Kilman may not have a future at West Ham United, given his poor performances in recent months.

West Ham want to bring in Charlie Cresswell from Toulouse, and his potential arrival would put Kilman further down in the pecking order.

The 28-year-old last started in the 1-1 draw against Brighton, but had a game worth forgetting for the Hammers.

West Ham expected to open Charlie Cresswell talks

Hammers News has been told that Cresswell is a priority for West Ham in the January transfer window.

The club are expected to open talks with the former Leeds United defender in order to bring him to the London Stadium in the January transfer window.

The 23-year-old was a transfer target in the summer as well, but the Irons failed to secure his services.

They signed Igor Julio on loan from Brighton and the Brazilian has been the fourth-choice centre-back at the club.

He has made just four Premier League appearances, and it seems highly unlikely that he has a future in the capital.

However, he is not owned by the Hammers and they will need to raise funds to sign Cresswell, opening the door for Kilman to leave the club.

Which clubs are interested in signing Kilman?

According to Claret and Hugh, the Hammers would happily part ways with the defender for a £25million fee in the January transfer window.

The club paid Wolves £40million for the centre-back, but would be open to cutting their losses on him in the coming weeks.

As things stand, apart from Crystal Palace’s mooted interest in Kilman, not a lot of clubs appear to be hot on the West Ham defender.

The Englishman himself may look to force a move if he sees his minutes reducing due to Cresswell’s arrival.

Clubs in the Championship or potentially in Europe would surely be willing to take a punt on him as he’s only 28 and has years of Premier League experience under his belt.

It’s on the Irons to drum up interest in the defender if they do plan to sell him, but not signing a new centre-back in January would be opening the door to relegation.
