West Ham finally ready Valentin Castellanos transfer after £26m development

West Ham United may need to pay around £26million to sign Lazio striker Taty Castellanos in the winter transfer window.
The Hammers are looking to bolster their attack in January and have had their eyes on the Argentine centre-forward for some time now.
With Nuno Espirito Santo potentially set to lose Niclas Fullkrug in the coming weeks, the Irons should take advantage of the 27-year-old attacker’s situation in Italy.

Valentin Castellanos wants move to England amid West Ham United interest
Castellanos would jump at the chance of moving to the Premier League, according to Il Messaggero.
The news outlet reports on 10 December that the Hammers are “ready to finally make a move” for the striker, but they also have AC Milan’s Santiago Gimenez on their radar at the London Stadium.
It’s been claimed that Lazio are willing to green-light the Argentina international’s exit in January if they receive an acceptable offer.
The centre-forward is looking to renew his hopes of playing at the 2026 World Cup, and it will be interesting to see whether the Irons can convince him.
Nuno has relied on Callum Wilson to lead the line in recent matches, and while the veteran forward has done well, there’s evidently a lack of depth up front in E20.
The addition of a new number nine feels important at the East London outfit, but only time will tell whether Castellanos is the one for them.
West Ham are arguably in need of a proven Premier League goalscorer, and the England international may just be what they’re looking for.
