Everton vs Newcastle United – Predicted lineup and team news

Everton return to the Hill Dickinson Stadium on Saturday, aiming to continue their resurgence under David Moyes.

After a difficult start, the Toffees have found their form, winning back-to-back games against Fulham and Manchester United. Now, they have the chance to win three consecutive Premier League matches without conceding a goal for the first time since April 2024.

The hosts will be confident of getting a result. They have collected seven points from their last three games and sit 11th in the table. Furthermore, they face a Newcastle side that has struggled away from home. Therefore, a disciplined performance could see Everton climb into the top half.

    Everton team news

David Moyes faces a selection headache in midfield with Idrissa Gueye beginning a three-match suspension following his red card against Manchester United. Consequently, Tim Iroegbunam is expected to come into the starting XI to partner James Garner. The defence is also depleted, with captain Seamus Coleman ruled out due to the hamstring injury he sustained at Old Trafford.

In his absence, Jake O’Brien is likely to deputise at right-back. Despite these defensive reshuffles, the attack remains potent; Manchester City loanee Jack Grealish, who has the joint-most assists (4) in the Premier League this season, will continue to be the key creative force from the left flank.

Everton predicted XI: Pickford; O’Brien, Keane, Tarkowski, Mykolenko; Garner, Iroegbunam; Ndiaye, Dewsbury-Hall, Grealish; Barry
