Ruthless Nuno Espirito Santo bombs Graham Potter favourite out of West Ham squad
A player who was one of Graham Potter’s favourites at West Ham is now reportedly set to be bombed out of the squad by ruthless new manager Nuno Espirito Santo.
It is all change at West Ham after Graham Potter was sacked and replaced by Nuno Espirito Santo.
One of the hallmarks of Potter’s dismal tenure as Hammers boss was that many fans felt he was far too soft.
While problems at West Ham are deep-rooted in the boardroom amid unrest from fans, the Englishman failed to inspire during his nine months in charge.
It was a similar story for Julen Lopetegui before him, although the Spaniard was a lot more animated and passionate on the sidelines.
Nuno already has Hammers fans revved up from his very first interview, saying it is time West Ham’s players stopped asking for the support of the fans and instead start earning it.
Nuno already showing steel Potter lacked at West Ham
The Portuguese has also promised ‘hell’ for the opposition when he gets West Ham playing how he wants them to.
While Nuno is promising hell for the opposition, it looks like purgatory for one Hammers star.
Potter frustrated West Ham fans with his team selections, tactics and substitutions.
He made some huge decisions during his time as Hammers boss.
From bringing back James Ward-Prowse and Nayef Aguerd from loan spells to bombing out the likes of Edson Alvarez and releasing experienced quartet Aaron Cresswell, Michail Antonio, Lukasz Fabianski and Vladimir Coufal.
Potter also ditched fan favourite Emerson Palmieri from his first game in charge and went on to bench Tomas Soucek for a spell too.

The likes of Jean-Clair Todibo, Alvarez, Niclas Fullkrug, Emerson and Aaron Wan-Bissaka will all likely be happy to see the back of Potter if reports are accurate.
Potter has also risked falling out with West Ham star Jarrod Bowen after a journalist’s leak on his private thoughts on the captain.
There was one particular player Potter was warned time and again could cost him his job.
Now the Potter favourite looks set to be bombed out of the West Ham squad by ruthless Nuno Espirito Santo.
Ruthless Nuno bombs Potter favourite out of West Ham squad
Potter’s obsession with picking slow, sideways passing crab Ward-Prowse drove West Ham fans potty.
The sacked head coach elected to bring Ward-Prowse back early from his disastrous loan at Nottingham Forest in January and he was one of the first names on the teamsheet ever since.
By all accounts Ward-Prowse seems to be a decent pro and teammate.
But there have always been question marks over what he offers West Ham in open play – especially as he has stopped delivering the goods from set-plays.
West Ham fans have been calling for young players like Freddie Potts, Preston Fearon and even French powerhouse Mohamadou Kante to play ahead of Ward-Prowse, arguing they would offer far more than the former England man.

It was seeing Mateus Fernandes subbed off before Ward-Prowse in the defeat to Palace which prompted supporters to fully turn on Potter.
Potter’s favouritism of Ward-Prowse became a central theme of the face swap memes used to ridicule the 50-year-old before he was fired.
Given Nuno simply did not fancy Ward-Prowse at Forest, things did not look good for the midfielder when he landed the job at the weekend.
And it seems Ward-Prowse would have been right to be concerned.
Because top Hammers insider ExWHUemployee has revealed that not only will Ward-Prowse be dropped for West Ham’s game at Everton, he is out of the squad altogether.
Nuno makes Ward-Prowse stance clear from day one
It looks like Ward-Prowse will be going from Potter’s hero to a zero under Nuno.
Because Ex has reported on his West Ham Way Patreon that rumours circulating regarding Ward-Prowse not being part of Nuno’s plans are indeed true.
“The rumours are true this morning that James Ward-Prowse is not expected to feature in the squad and could be out of the managers plans,” Ex said.
“New signing Magassa will be pushing for a start and he is a player who was admired by Nuno whilst at Forest.”
Nuno is clearly not here to mess around or win friends.
This will be a breath of fresh air for Hammers fans who have been highly critical of Potter’s blind faith in the likes of Ward-Prowse.
It feels like things are about to get very interesting indeed at West Ham United.
