NBA Reacts to Major Kevin Durant News
The Phoenix Suns hosted the Milwaukee Bucks on Monday night, aiming to stay unbeaten through the first four games of their five-game homestand. It hasn’t been the season they had hoped for thus far, but with a shot at still making the NBA Play-In Tournament, Monday was a big opportunity.
The game stayed tight through three quarters, but in the third, Kevin Durant made history. Entering the night ranked 13th all-time in regular-season field goals, he surpassed John Havlicek, pushing his total to 10,514 and counting.
After Durant moved to 12th all-time, the NBA shared a message on social media, reacting to the news.
“Congrats to Kevin Durant of the Phoenix Suns for moving into 12th on the all-time FIELD GOALS MADE list!” the NBA wrote.
Just last Friday, Durant had moved from 14th to 13th on the all-time list after surpassing Kevin Garnett in a game against the Eastern Conference-leading Cleveland Cavaliers.
The Suns went on to defeat the Bucks 108-106, with Durant finishing the night with 38 points on 11-of-21 shooting, eight rebounds, and five assists.

This is just one of many milestones and awards in Durant’s 17-year NBA career. The 36-year-old has captured two NBA championships, two Finals MVPs, the 2014 league MVP, 15 All-Star selections, two All-Star Game MVPs, and 11 All-NBA honors.
