    NBA News: Golden State Warriors Star Stephen Curry Accepts New Job

    Golden State Warriors point guard Stephen Curr y  to make the postseason. The Warriors are 36-28, holding on to the No. 6 spot in the Western Conference with the Minnesota Timberwolves trying to catch them to stay out of the Play-In Tournament.

    At 36, Curry is having a great 15th season in the NBA, getting close to making his 4,000th three-point basket. The No. 7 pick in the 2009 draft is averaging 24.5 points, 4.4 rebounds, and 6.2 assists per game.

    While Curry is showing no signs that he’s ready to retire, the native of Akron, Ohio is looking at alternative career moves.

    Per ESPN‘s Shams Charania, Curry accepted a job with Davidson College as their assistant general manager for basketball.

    “Warriors’ Stephen Curry has accepted a role with his alma mater Davidson College as assistant general manager for the basketball programs, university officials told ESPN,” Charania posted on X. “Curry becomes the first active player in U.S. major pro sports to take an administrative job with NCAA team.”

    Curry played for Davidson from 2006-2009. He was the NCAA scoring champion in 2009 and was the SoCon Player of the Year twice. His No. 30 college jersey was retired by the Wildcats. Davidson made the NCAA Tournament in 2006, 2007, and 2008.
