Rangers eye Nasser Djiga permanent transfer as mammoth Wolves wages revealed
Rangers have made it no secret that they would like to bring Wolves defender Nasser Djiga back to Ibrox next season.
The Burkina Faso international joined the Gers on loan in the summer and has become an important first-team player under Danny Rohl.
The 23-year-old managed to overcome his initial struggles and has now fully adapted to life in Scotland.
Five players have been shortlisted for Player of the Season…
Who should win it in your view, and why?

I totally agree. I don’t think Rangers would have been in the title picture without him. Doesn’t shy away from his responsbilities and puts in an 8/10 effort at least in each game.
Nasser Djiga’s £70,000-a-week wages at Wolves stumbling block for Rangers
According to the Daily Record, Djiga is on big money at Wolves and that is likely to be a stumbling block for Rangers to sign him.
While he has done well at Ibrox and the fans would welcome him back with open arms, the club are not in a position to afford paying him the £70k/week which he is contracted to earn at Molineux.
He is reportedly earning £39k/week at Ibrox, which means that Wolves are paying nearly half his salary in order for him to play regularly.
If Djiga does move to Rangers permanently in the summer, he would need to take a pay cut.
It would also mean that even though the Light Blues are unwilling to sign him at £70k/week, they still may have to pay him more than they currently are.

How many points do YOU see Rangers getting from them? 🤔

What has Danny Rohl said about Djiga?
Rohl has been impressed with Djiga’s performances and would certainly love him back for next season.
Speaking about the Wolves defender in March, he lauded his performance as “outstanding” after a game.
He has been impressed with the relationship he formed in defence with Emmanuel Fernandez.
In his view, this gives him the opportunity to play a high line as not only are they good defensively, but they are also quick and can thus cover up.

Rohl has also lauded Djiga and Fernandez for their calmness on the ball.
He said: “I have great centre-backs available at the moment.
“For me, Nasser played an outstanding game. Both of them, Manny and Nasser, were really strong. They won every one-on-one duel. We could play a high-line because they are very quick and also calm on the ball.
“Then I have John, who gives the group an experience. This is great. This is good to have.”
