Derek Cornelius falls out with Danny Rohl amid latest Rangers exit development
Rangers loanee Derek Cornelius has reportedly fallen out with Danny Rohl behind the scenes.
Rohl had stated that he would hold talks with Cornelius post the international break due to the centre-back’s lack of game time.
The Canada international had suffered an injury in November and has not played a single first-team game since then.

Who should win it in your view, and why?

I totally agree. I don’t think Rangers would have been in the title picture without him. Doesn’t shy away from his responsbilities and puts in an 8/10 effort at least in each game.
Derek Cornelius unlikely to be at Ibrox next season
According to the Daily Record, Cornelius’ fall-out with Rohl means that the chances of him returning to Ibrox have taken a significant hit.
The Light Blues do hold an option to buy the centre-back at the end of the season, but a final decision has not yet been made.
It had been evident for weeks that Rangers are unlikely to sign Cornelius as he is probably the fourth-choice centre-back and any outlay on him would not really be worth it.

There were reports that Rohl banished him from the training centre, but shortly after that, the manager poured cold water on the claims.
It looked like the defender’s recent appearances for Canada would give him the chance to win back the German’s trust.
However, that has not happened and an exit now looks to be on the cards and the option to buy is not likely to be exercised.
Derek Cornelius is expected to leave Rangers…
What have YOU made of his time at Ibrox? 🤔

How Rangers plan to replace Cornelius in the transfer market
Rangers most certainly will be entering the transfer market for a new defender this summer.
Rohl was backed with four new signings in January and has earned the trust of the hierarchy for more inputs in the coming months.
Dundee centre-back Luke Graham is on Rangers’ radar and he seems like the primary target to replace Cornelius.
His manager Steven Pressley has left the door open for him to leave this summer and that will be music to Rohl’s ears.

The Light Blues’ manager would want Nasser Djiga back, but as things stand, it is unclear whether or not Wolves will sanction an exit.
They will be playing in the Championship next season, so will have a lot of first-team players leaving.
This could see Djiga becoming a first-team regular there and the Molineux outfit would make it harder for him to leave.
