West Ham plans in place for permanent Axel Disasi deal as sources make one thing clear

West Ham United will reportedly pursue plans to sign Axel Disasi permanently from Chelsea if and when they secure their Premier League status.
Disasi has been a huge success at the London Stadium since arriving on loan from Chelsea late in the winter window.
The 27-year-old has featured seven times for the Hammers, starting six of those, with his arrival coinciding with a turnaround in form.
West Ham’s immediate focus is on staving off the threat of relegation, but already one eye is on the summer transfer window.

West Ham want to snap up Axel Disasi in cut-price deal
In helping West Ham to steady the ship, Disasi has in turn rejuvenated his own career after stalling at Chelsea.
As per a report by the Daily Mail on Wednesday, West Ham are keen to sign the centre-back permanently should they stay up.
However, West Ham sources state that the East London club will not go near the £38.8million Chelsea paid to sign Disasi from Monaco three years ago.

That has been made clear, but it is not known exactly how much Chelsea would want for Disasi – under contract at Stamford Bridge until 2029 – or indeed if the player himself is even open to a move.
There is also the complication, it is reported, of other clubs on the continent sitting up and taking notice of the five-cap France international’s form in a West Ham shirt.
Should West Ham be breaking the bank to sign Disasi?
If West Ham do stay up, Disasi will be worth every penny of his reported £1.7m loan fee.
The defender has helped to keep three clean sheets in his five Premier League starts, which is all the more special when you consider just how defensively poor the Irons had been.
Disasi is a more-than-steady presence in the heart of defence and would be worth the Hammers splashing out on as one of their marquee summer signings.
Chelsea will surely accept Disasi’s stock has fallen – albeit it is on the way back up – so if a fee in the region of £20m can be agreed then that may just be best for all parties.
