West Ham United fans have been blown away by Paco Jemez as ratings land

West Ham United fans have told Hammers News just how impressed they are with first team coach Paco Jemez.

Jemez was appointed as a coach at West Ham United in mid-January and while the actual level of his impact cannot possibly be known, there has been a revival in the team’s Premier League form since.

Indeed, the Hammers have won three of the six league games that have been played since his appointment and Jemez has been praised by leading West Ham players.

    How impressed have you been?

And do you see a long-term future for him at the club?

As such, Hammers News asked our subscribers and followers across our TalkingPoints and Facebook platforms to grade his performance between A* and D. Most of them went for the higher marks.

West Ham United fans grade Paco Jemez between A and A*

Jemez is a highly rated coach and it cannot be much of a coincidence that Nuno Espirito Santo’s side have significantly improved since his arrival.

Though Nuno himself does deserve credit, the supporters that Hammers News asked were full of praise for Jemez.

One supporter wrote: “A, him coming makes us better. You can see it from our victory percentage.”

Another added: “A…..I JUST HOPE Nuno takes in his excellent advice. He is a top coach.”

Over on Facebook, the gradings were equally as positive.

What would you say if Paco Jemez took Nuno’s job?

    He’s certainly made a big impact…

If Nuno is thrown under the bus,Paco is definitely worth a punt. However, if they gel and can work together keep on keeping on. Paco’s aggressive style seems to compliment Nuno’s calmer approach.Remember Nuno was a goalie.

Paco is as positive as Nuno is negative. Please, let’s have a West Ham side playing football on the front foot for once 🤷🏻‍♂️

T YWe wouldnt really know unless Nuno was sacked and to be honest despite some strange substitutions nuno has made and some strange team selections we all like to think we would select a better side but i think given what he inherited and working with an incompetent board hes not doing too badly and maybe they are a good pairing.Only time will tell ⚒️⚒️⚒️

    “A,” wrote one fan.

A very enthusiastic supporter wrote: “A±++++++++++++++”

    “A+++” was another grading.

    One fan added: “A.”

What does Paco Jemez do at West Ham?

His job title is first team coach but Jemez has been working with West Ham’s defence.

It’s unclear whether his job is limited to the backline, but that appears to be his main point of focus right now.

The decision to appoint him will only look like a masterstroke if West Ham stay up, but it is starting to look like that.

It would be unwise to overlook Nuno’s role in all of this but Jemez has clearly had a profound impact behind the scenes.

Being within touching distance of safety might not have been possible without him.
