This is the real reason for Jarrod Bowen’s West Ham ‘problem’ after ‘questions asked’

The 29-year-old turned in a disappointing performance as West Ham drew 0-0 with Bournemouth last time out, and has now gone three games without a goal.
Despite the valuable point closing the gap to Nottingham Forest to just two points after their defeat to Liverpool, fans remains frustrated at their attacking stars.
Former Hammers scout Mick Brown told Football Insider that questions have been asked of Bowen at West Ham as a result of his recent performances.
However, Bowen’s struggles come as a result of the demand and expectation placed on him as the captain and standout player under Nuno Espirito Santo.

Jarrod Bowen slammed for West Ham performances
Brown told Football Insider last month that Bowen is unlikely to leave West Ham and is keen to stick around, but that cannot be guaranteed if they are relegated.
His performances will be key for the Hammers to stay up, and while he must step up his displays after recent disappointments, he has been backed to do so.
“There’s so much pressure put on Bowen to perform for West Ham,” Brown told Football Insider.
“If he’s slightly off his game, all of a sudden there are question marks around him because it has a noticeable impact on the way the whole team are performing.
“Bowen’s problem at the moment is there’s a demand on him to contribute in all parts of their game, because they’re lacking quality elsewhere.
“They want him to come deep to get the ball, drag everybody forward with his running, and also get on the end of chances to score goals.
“That takes away his focus on the things he’s good at and puts too much focus on the things he maybe isn’t as good at, and then his whole performance dips.
“I don’t think it’s going to be a major concern for West Ham because players go through difficult patches, it’s normal, especially in the position they’re in.
“But they will be hoping he can step up again in the next few weeks because if he’s at the top of his game it will be a huge boost to everybody involved.”
Could Bowen leave West Ham this summer?
Despite a number of poor performances in recent weeks, Bowen remains extremely highly regarded both at West Ham and among their Premier League rivals.
As a result, there is expected to be no shortage of interest in his signature if the Hammers are unable to climb out of the relegation zone before the end of the season.
Brown told Football Insider on 10 January that West Ham could be forced to sell Bowen if they go down, as he will not be keen to play in the Championship.

A number of clubs are believed to be keeping a close eye on the situation, including long-term admirers Liverpool and Newcastle, in case he becomes available.
Should a significant offer arrive for his services, the Hammers will be unable to keep hold of their captain despite there being no plans for him to leave the London Stadium.
