Auston Trusty ‘shouldn’t kick a ball for Celtic again’ as footage re-analysed

Trusty was sent off in the second half with the scores level at Celtic Park, and Hibs profited with an extra man to steal all three points in the 87th minute courtesy of a Kai Andrews goal.
The visitors had gone ahead in the first half thanks to Felix Passlack, before Benjamin Nygren equalised on the stroke of half-time.
The defeat means Celtic remain six points behind Scottish Premiership leaders Hearts, with a game in hand on the Edinburgh club against Aberdeen next month.

Auston Trusty ‘let his team down’ in Hibernian loss
Trusty was not favoured under Brendan Rodgers at the beginning of the season, but the American has formed a partnership with Liam Scales under Michael O’Neill’s leadership.
The 27-year-old was recently sent off in Celtic’s draw at Hearts last month, and one supporter believed he is an “accident waiting to happen.”
Against Hibs, Trusty was sent off for an off the ball incident as Celtic were preparing to take a corner in the second half.
One fan said Trusty should “hang his head in shame” over the red card, whilst another claimed that the defender killed the momentum Celtic were building in search of a late goal, which likely would have been the winner.
Celtic fans could hold more power after latest reveal
Defeat for Celtic means their hopes of winning the Scottish Premiership title is on thin ice, with a crucial match against rivals Rangers at Ibrox next up.
The loss will also do no favours to the fractured relationship between the club’s board and its supporters, with the Green Brigade again not able to be in attendance against Hibs.

It was recently revealed that matchday revenue made up 42% of all revenue made at Celtic last season, meaning the fans are a vital part of the club financially.
With European football no guarantee for Celtic next season, a solution needs to be found to repair any relationship which is left between the fans and the board.
A third-placed finish, where Celtic currently sit, would mean the club enter the Europa Conference League at the second qualifying round.
