Largie Ramazani transfer update as Leeds United changes needed for new deal

Valencia are unlikely to extend a loan deal for Leeds United forward Largie Ramazani in the summer transfer window.

As things stand, the Whites would need to change their approach to a possible deal for the LaLiga outfit to have any chance of signing the Belgian star again, according to ElDesmarque.

The news outlet reports on 19 February that when the West Yorkshire outfit loaned the winger out last summer, it didn’t include an option to buy him.

There was also a penalty clause in the contract between the two clubs to recall the 24-year-old if he didn’t get enough game time, but that wasn’t triggered.

Ramazani finally made his full debut for Valencia in LaLiga on 15 February, scoring in their 2-0 win over Levante.

    MORE LEEDS STORIES

The forward has made 13 league appearances this season, but most of them have come off the bench in the final minutes of games.

Los Ches are currently involved in a relegation battle and will hope the Belgian winger can continue his fine form to help them avoid the drop.

It looks like the Spanish club may not have the necessary funds to complete a permanent deal for Ramazani, and the Whites could potentially have to make concessions to send him back to Mestalla for the 2026-26 campaign.

With the West Yorkshire outfit making impressive progress under Daniel Farke, the winger doesn’t seem to have a future at Elland Road.

The German manager has some impressive attacking quality at his disposal in Dominic Calvert-Lewin, Lukas Nmecha, Noah Okafor, Daniel James and Wilfried Gnonto, making Ramazani surplus to requirements.

Daniel Farke has two transfer priorities after Premier League survival

Lucas Perri seems to have found his feet again, and it will be interesting to see whether the Brazilian goalkeeper can keep his place in the team until the end of the season.

Leeds should be looking at bolstering their backline in the upcoming transfer window if they survive Premier League relegation, with more quality in depth needed after Farke’s switch to the 5-3-2 formation.

While Calvert-Lewin and Nmecha have shown impressive goalscoring form in recent months, another quality number nine could potentially take the Whites’ performances to the next level.

With 49ers Enterprises surely looking to establish the West Yorkshire outfit as a regular top-flight side, significant investment is arguably needed to make progress year on year.
