West Ham United fans deliver very honest verdict on Keiber Lamadrid’s debut
West Ham United fans have responded directly to Hammers News to deliver their verdicts on Keiber Lamadrid’s first team debut for the club.
Lamadrid joined West Ham United on loan from Deportivo La Guaira during the January transfer window and initially wasn’t expected to get much in the way of first team football.
However, Nuno Espirito Santo handed the Venezuela international his full debut for the Irons during West Ham’s 1-0 win over Burton Albion in the FA Cup.
In truth, it wasn’t the best game from which to draw many definitive conclusions.
How much is a trophy worth? Would you take relegation if it meant winning the FA Cup? 🏆
Imagine us going full Wigan vibes 👀

A heavily rotated Irons side lacked any kind of rhythm, and it took a moment of relative magic from substitute Crysencio Summerville on a cold day in Staffordshire to settle the game in extra-time.
Lamadrid’s West Ham debut probably won’t live long in the memory but what is being a football fan in the modern age without some quick-fire reactions?
As such, Hammers News asked our subscribers on TalkingPoints to share how they felt about the forward’s debut.

Anyway, back to Lamadrid’s first impressions.
One fan wrote: “Was trying to influence the game but did not see enough of the ball, average for me.”
So…what did you think? Give us your grading 👇

Another responded with their grading of: “B.”
“B” was another comment when it came to a specific grading between A* and D.
“C. Like the rest of the team [he] underperformed. Better in the second half & showed signs of promise,” was another comment.
One of our subscribers said: “Hard to judge on a one off debut but looked skilled with good balance very much ‘one for the future’.”
Over on our Facebook page, another comment read: “I’ll give him a C…give the boy a chance and time.”
“C, some nice touches when he was on [the] ball,” read another response.
One supporter added: “D. Saw nothing that suggests he can be back up for Summerville right now. But early days. He will have to learn that he has to work a lot harder to survive the English game.”

Keiber Lamadrid’s debut for West Ham United in numbers
Nuno was pleased with Lamadrid’s West Ham debut and it will be fascinating to see if the 22-year-old gets another chance to impress during the final few games of the campaign.
It does currently feel somewhat unlikely given the high stakes of West Ham’s Premier League run-in, but perhaps a favourable draw in Monday’s draw for the FA Cup fifth round would present an opportunity for that to happen.
