Cameron Archer to Rangers one to keep eye on after late winter transfer collapse

The Gers wanted the English centre-forward at Ibrox mid-season to bolster their attacking ranks, but he ended up staying at St Mary’s Stadium.
Archer started for Southampton in their 2-1 FA Cup fourth round win over Leicester City on 14 February at home, but he’s mostly been a bit-part player in the EFL Championship.
Danny Rohl ended up signing Ryan Naderi at the Glaswegian outfit, but the former Hansa Rostock star’s arrival doesn’t necessarily mean they won’t get another number nine in again soon.
Youssef Chermiti or Bojan Miovski surely on Rangers chopping block
Youssef Chermiti and Bojan Miovski’s struggles arguably forced the Gers to make further investment in their attack in the winter window.
The two strikers were bought at Ibrox for an initial combined fee of over £10million, but they’ve failed to live up to expectations.
Danilo failed to make a place for himself in Rohl’s plans despite the number nine position being up for grabs and was subsequently shipped back to the Netherlands, with NEC Nijmegen signing him on loan until the end of the season.
Chermiti and Miovski have scored a combined eight goals for the Light Blues in the William Hill Premiership this season, and it’s certainly a miracle that they’re still near the top of the table.

Without centre-forwards who can be relied upon, Rohl has less of a chance to bring success back to the Govan side.
It wouldn’t be surprising to see Chermiti or Miovski transfer listed in the summer, and Archer’s future could potentially be one to keep an eye on as a replacement target in G51.
Danny Rohl has one more key Ibrox transfer to think about in summer window
Max Aarons hasn’t done enough to justify a return to Rangers after his loan spell from Bournemouth ends.
James Tavernier has kept his place in the starting lineup this season despite fans in G51 wanting to see the Gers sign his successor for some time now.

The 34-year-old defender is in the final year of his contract at Ibrox, and it wouldn’t be surprising to see him leave at the end of the campaign.
Dujon Sterling’s persistent fitness issues have been frustrating for supporters at the Glaswegian outfit, and Rohl will surely task the recruitment department with finding him a new right-back in the summer.
