According to pundits: Röhl Rallies Rangers to Reignite Ibrox is Under Fire Against Hearts Do or Die RIP Affair

Röhl Rallies Rangers to Reignite Ibrox Fire Against Hearts

Danny Röhl has challenged his Rangers players to harness the power of their formidable home form as they prepare to welcome Heart of Midlothian F.C. to Ibrox Stadium on Sunday afternoon.

The Rangers boss believes the energy, intensity and belief shown on home soil must once again be the driving force behind his side’s pursuit of another crucial three points. With the business end of the season fast approaching, every match carries added weight — and Röhl has made it clear that Ibrox must remain a fortress.

Rangers have looked a different proposition in front of their own supporters. The tempo has been sharper, the pressing more aggressive, and the cutting edge in the final third far more clinical. Röhl sees no reason why that trend cannot continue against a Hearts side known for its resilience and organisation.

“There’s a responsibility when you play at Ibrox,” Röhl said in the build-up to the clash. “The supporters expect intensity and courage, and when we deliver that, we are a very difficult team to stop.”

The manager has placed emphasis not only on attacking quality but on the emotional connection between the players and the stands. On several occasions this season, Rangers have turned tight contests in their favour through sheer momentum, feeding off the noise and urgency generated from the terraces.

Against Hearts, that connection could prove decisive.

The Edinburgh side arrive with their own ambitions and have shown they can frustrate opponents by staying compact and disciplined. Röhl is fully aware of the threat they pose, particularly on the counter-attack and from set pieces. However, his message has centred firmly on imposing Rangers’ identity rather than reacting to the opposition.

“We have to focus on ourselves,” he added. “When we play with aggression in our pressing and confidence in possession, we control games. That is what we want to see again.”

Tactically, Rangers are expected to look to dominate the ball early, stretching Hearts’ defensive shape and creating space in wide areas. Quick transitions and sharp movement between the lines have been hallmarks of their strongest home performances, and Röhl will demand similar precision this weekend.

Defensive concentration will also be key. While Rangers have dazzled going forward at Ibrox, their solidity at the back has often laid the foundation for success. Clean sheets have allowed the attacking players freedom to express themselves, safe in the knowledge that the platform behind them is secure.

There is also a psychological element at play. Winning at home builds rhythm and confidence, and Röhl understands the importance of sustaining momentum. Dropped points at this stage of the campaign can have lasting consequences, particularly in a league where margins are tight.

Sunday’s encounter is therefore more than just another fixture. It represents an opportunity to reaffirm authority, strengthen belief, and keep pressure firmly applied in the race ahead.

For Röhl and his Rangers squad, the objective is simple: channel the roar of Ibrox, reproduce the intensity that has defined their strongest performances, and ensure the fortress stands firm once more.
