Supercomputer predicts Burnley vs West Ham

West Ham won the Conference League in 2023, and less than three years later, they are well on course to drop into the Championship.

That’s one showcase of how far they have fallen, but the predicted outcome of their clash with Burnley is yet another.

Via Opta‘s supercomputer, West Ham have just a 33.8 per cent chance of taking all three points off the Clarets, who have already lost half of their home games under Scott Parker this season.

Burnley have a 39.6 per cent chance, meaning that a draw is the most likely outcome at Turf Moor on Saturday afternoon.

However, for the Irons to have such a low likelihood of a win against a side that has managed just three wins all season showcases the struggle that faces them for the second half of the campaign.

The Hammers also fell to a 2-1 defeat away to Leeds United back in 2025, meaning the only promoted side they have not lost to this season is Burnley.

And if that were to change this weekend, it would be the first time since the 2009-10 campaign that West Ham have lost to all three promoted sides.

Nuno Espirito Santo already holds several unwanted records from his time in charge of the Hammers, and adding that one to his profile would do nothing but add more misery to his tenure at the London Stadium.
