Thomas Frank’s honest verdict on Nuno speaks volumes about what he’s done at West Ham
Nuno Espirito Santo’s reputation has not been enhanced during his time as West Ham United manager.
That certainly will be the case if Nuno can turn things around at West Ham but the mood music does not look positive.
Indeed, Nuno’s future at West Ham is uncertain after a dreadful run that saw them go 64 days without a victory.
That run ended with a tight win over QPR in the FA Cup on Sunday, but it’s back to life in the Premier League on Saturday with a trip to former club Tottenham.
What do West Ham have to do to BEAT Tottenham on Saturday? ⚒️
And what is your favourite West Ham v Spurs moment?

Opposite number Thomas Frank is also under pressure in his role and was asked about the Hammers boss before the game.
Frank’s answer was interesting.
Thomas Frank overlooks West Ham when praising Nuno
The Dane did praise Nuno during his pre-match press conference.
Frank talked about what Nuno did at Wolves and Nottingham Forest and was right to do so.
“I think Nuno deserves a lot of respect for everything he has done in the Premier League,” he said.
“He has had huge success, especially Forest and Wolves. Remarkable what he did there in many, many ways. I think he is a top coach, he showed it many times.”
Be honest; how would YOU feel if West Ham swapped Nuno for Thomas Frank?
The Spurs boss has come in for huge criticism…

It’s NOT NUNO NOR THOMAS FRANK,nobody is seeing it Harry Rednapp said it , the players are not good enough unfortunately plus the board , honestly I think the angel of death took the wrong David

He is a half decent manager but Brentfords success this season mirrors b&ha after potter left, Likewise with developing & selling top talent, just proves that the Club is successfully run, and its not down to just individuals. I think Thomas has a disconnect that just wouldn’t work for us. He has a vastly similar disjointed squad of egos and cant fix them
What is most telling, however, is that Frank did not mention the job the Portuguese has done at West Ham. Nuno’s brief spell at Spurs was overlooked, too.
Given how it’s gone for him in east London, that is somewhat jarring to hear.
Yes, the club’s problems go far beyond the manager, but where is the Nuno who did well at both of those clubs?
He has not had it easy but to suggest Nuno has covered himself in glory would be wrong. Frank was right to overlook his Hammers tenure as a blot on his copybook thus far.
Nuno’s managerial record against Thomas Frank
It would be fair to say that Nuno’s personal history against Frank does not make for good reading for Hammers fans ahead of Saturday’s game.
The two managers have come up against each other on three occasions.

Frank has won two of those, most recently a 2-0 win over Nuno’s Forest during his final days in charge of Brentford last season.
Nuno won the other, which came in the reverse fixture of that campaign back in December.
With neither manager convincing right now, it will be fascinating to see what happens.
Nuno still has support at West Ham but Saturday’s result could have a huge impact on what that looks like going forward.
