West Ham United make approach to sign Tottenham star who Ange Postecoglou loves

West Ham United are in the market to strengthen their entire squad.

Pablo was the first arrival at West Ham this month, signing from Gil Vicente, with Taty Castellanos making it two new attacking transfers already.

David Sullivan has already spent over £40million, but he is not stopping there, with West Ham in real danger of Premier League relegation.

That is where Tottenham come into things.

    MORE WEST HAM STORIES

At the start of January, Al Nassr stopper Bento was the preferred choice in East London, but the Brazilian has other plans this month.

Kinsky has never been given a real chance at Tottenham, with Thomas Frank consistently using Guglielmo Vicario instead, regardless of mistakes.

According to the Daily Mail in its print edition on Saturday, West Ham have made their approach to try and bring Kinsky to the London Stadium.

Ethan Pinnock is also another target, with defensive reinforcements on the agenda.

Despite getting zero chances under Frank, the same can’t be said for Kinsky under the management of Ange Postecoglou.

The Australian insists that the Czechia star will become an “outstanding” goalkeeper, and that is far from the case with the options already in the squad.

In his 12 appearances for the Lilywhites, he has kept four clean sheets, conceding 19 goals.

Mads Hermansen looks set to leave West Ham already, despite only signing in the summer, with the £20million deal from Leicester looking like a dreadful piece of business already.

Alphonse Areola has been used frequently, but his consistently high-profile mistakes cannot be forgiven now, with a change clearly needed.

Whether that is Kinsky or not is yet to be seen, but it is nice to see the Irons be proactive at the start of January, let’s just hope it’s not too late.
