Former West Ham boss could replace Nuno as Hammers board eye Man United manager target
West Ham United manager Nuno Espirito Santo is under real pressure right now.
According to the latest claims, West Ham are eyeing up potential new managers and the same can be said for Manchester United.
Nuno Espirito Santo has endured a disastrous spell at the London Stadium, guiding his side to just 11 points from the 16 games he has taken charge of.
It has actually been claimed that Nuno is unhappy at West Ham for a variety of different reasons.
Out of 10, how CONFIDENT are you that Nuno can still save West Ham?
Beating QPR in the FA Cup would be a start…

Nuno could actually jump before he is pushed by West Ham in order to return to one of his former clubs – Wolves.
And it seems like a former Hammers manager could be set to return to the London Stadium.
Former West Ham boss could replace Nuno Espirito Santo
The feeling at the club right now is that a couple more defeats in a row could see Nuno swiftly moved on.
When writing for the GiveMeSport Newsletter, football journalist Ben Jacobs offered his thoughts on the current West Ham managerial situation.
“What I can tell you is co-owner David Sullivan has already been succession planning in case a mid-season change is necessary,“ Jacobs revealed.
“Like Manchester United, West Ham could also go down a caretaker route.

“Slaven Bilic would be open to a short-term return to the club, while Michael Carrick (a Manchester United caretaker target along with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer) has also been considered.“
Bilic would bring back a much-needed feel-good factor and he wouldn’t be a bad short-term appointment whatsoever.
The same can probably be said for Carrick, although his lack of experience in relegation battles would be a big concern.
Moving forward though, West Ham need to get the next managerial appointment right. Neither Bilic nor Carrick are viable long-term options for the Hammers.
One thing that is keeping Nuno in a job at West Ham right now
The Hammers boss is clearly treading on very thin ice at the moment.
Jacobs explained one reason why he’s still holding onto his job at West Ham.
Imagine you are Nuno – What is the FIRST thing you are doing to save your job?

He said: “Nuno Espirito Santo is under growing pressure. One factor keeping him in a job up until now is he’s played a key role in the market and West Ham really hope some fresh faces can quickly turn their form around.
“They need results pretty urgently now after losing to Nottingham Forest and falling seven adrift of safety and with a worse goal difference than Forest.
“Taty Castellanos and Pablo are two attackers Nuno had been pushing for, and the desire to part ways with Callum Wilson is also down to the West Ham boss.
“Several well-placed West Ham insiders claim the club’s board is split on whether to stick or twist on Nuno.“
With games against Tottenham, Sunderland and Chelsea to come, Nuno’s West Ham future will become much clearer at the end of the month.
However, if he is moved on, Bilic or Carrick would be decent short-term options to replace him before the real work begins in the summer.
