Everton confirm Amari Moses agreement as excited midfielder speaks out

Everton youngster Amari Moses has committed his long-term future to the Merseyside club after penning professional terms.

Moses is tipped to be an Everton star, and has been with the Toffees for over 10 years now, working his way up through the academy ranks.

The 17-year-old will look to follow the likes of Harrison Armstrong, who has now made six Premier League appearances for David Moyes‘ side.

Armstrong spent the first half of this season on loan at Preston North End, but was recalled by Everton at the start of January and started in Wednesday evening’s 1-1 draw with Wolves.

Amari Moses pens deal until 2028

Moses is currently with the Everton Under-18s, and has made seven league appearances at youth level this term.

    MORE TOFFEES STORIES

The midfielder, who can play centrally as well as out wide, has now officially signed his first professional contract with the Toffees, and his new deal is set to run until June 2028.

After putting pen to paper, as confirmed by Everton’s official website on Thursday, Moses spoke about his journey to this point as well as his plans and targets for the future.

He said: “I’m very proud. It’s been a long journey and this is a happy moment for me and my family.

“It feels like a really good time to be an Everton player. I’ve just got to keep a level head and try to break into that first team one day.

“When I return back from injury, hopefully I can get back on the scoresheet, and then work my way up to the Under-21s.”

Amari Moses part of Everton history

Moses is already part of a little bit of Everton history, as he was part of the first-ever team to play at Hill Dickinson Stadium.

The Toffees Under-18 side faced Wigan Athletic in a friendly back in February 2025, with 10,000 fans in attendance.

Moses came off the bench as a second-half substitute but couldn’t help the Blues to victory, with Wigan running out 2-1 winners.

Everton eventually played their first Premier League game at the Hill Dickinson in August 2025, beating Brighton 2-0 with goals from Iliman Ndiaye and James Garner.
