Nuno Espirito Santo to be livid at disgraceful West Ham player’s unseen antics as sack lingers

West Ham lost 3-0 away to Wolves on Saturday, meaning the Irons have now gone 16 without victory across all competitions.
There were so many poor performances at Molineux, with even Freddie Potts slammed against Wolves for his showcase in midfield.
If things weren’t bad enough for Nuno, the actions of arguably the best player in his tenure against the Old Gold will be cause for further frustration.
Mateus Fernandes slammed for laziness vs Wolves
Nuno is destined to face the sack at West Ham after what has been a dreadful spell as head coach since his September switch to E20.
There would be no surprise if the Hammers hierarchy pulled the trigger in the coming days or weeks; that is how poor his tenure has been.
Nothing sums that up more than a 3-0 defeat against the worst side in Premier League history, where even players famed for their hard work had no motivation.
Mateus Fernandes has come under fire at Molineux for his lack of effort, as he failed to track back on multiple occasions.
Andy Walker spotted one example while speaking on the Premier League world feed and was less than complimentary of the Portugal under-21 international.
He said: “I’ve just seen Fernandes give the ball away for West Ham. His attitude was awful. As soon as he lost it, he stopped running.
“He was walking for a few seconds. You know what, get back and help your team out.”
Nuno Espirito Santo to rage at Fernandes after West Ham defeat
Nuno is on the brink of the sack and is relying on his best players to dig him out of the massive hole he already finds himself in after just three months.
Fernandes is certainly up there as the better names in the squad, but not even he showed the industry to help West Ham win against Wolves.
That is bound to cause a wave of anger from the head coach, who is coming under increased scrutiny, but ultimately, the blame for performances falls on the players.
West Ham are a disgrace right now and are in need of a serious mentality shift from everyone in E20 if they are to avoid the drop.
