West Ham player already holds record vs Bournemouth – can he take it further?

West Ham could have an early advantage ahead of their clash with Bournemouth.

Nuno Espirito Santo’s side are set to travel to the south coast with Bournemouth preparing to host West Ham at the Vitality Stadium.

After West Ham secured a 3-2 win against Burnley last time around, they will be high on confidence compared to their opponents.

West Ham travel to face Bournemouth after the Cherries’ 4-0 defeat against Aston Villa in their last Premier League outing.

The recent performances of both sides will make for an interesting showcase, but the Hammers will be confident that Callum Wilson can make the difference.

Callum Wilson holds West Ham vs Bournemouth record

Wilson signed for West Ham in the summer, but has only recently become more than a bit-part player under Nuno.

The Englishman has helped the Hammers put together a better string of performances, having scored against Burnley at the London Stadium.

His other goal in claret and blue ironically came in the off-white away shirt as he netted in the hugely important 3-0 win over Nottingham Forest earlier in the year.

Wilson has been a previous source of annoyance for West Ham fans over the years, with his form for Bournemouth causing massive problems in E20.

The 33-year-old is the record goalscorer in West Ham fixtures against Bournemouth, having scored seven against the Hammers, including a hattrick at Upton Park in 2015.

There is every chance that he could go on to make a sizable difference against his former club, with the hope of extending his record further.

Who are the top scorers in West Ham vs Bournemouth fixtures?

Wilson may sit at the top of the pile with seven goals and will be keen to extend that record, but there are a number of familiar faces who sit behind the striker in the scoring charts.

It is another Bournemouth favourite in Josh King, who sits second with five strikes against West Ham, sitting two clear of the nearest Hammers.

Marko Arnautovic, Michail Antonio and Jarrod Bowen have all provided three goals against the Cherries over the years.

The latter will be keen to add to that and push himself further up the rankings in the upcoming clash, in what will be only the 21st meeting of the sides.
