LeBron James’ Son Sends Clear Message to Savannah James on Sunday

It’s been quite an eventful year for LeBron James and his family. Just under a year ago, his son Bronny was selected in the 2024 NBA draft by the Los Angeles Lakers, allowing father and son to share the same team for the first time.

The two appeared in several games together, but the move sparked controversy throughout the season. Despite adding Luka Dončić to the roster, the Lakers were eliminated in the first round of the playoffs by the

Now, LeBron’s younger son, Bryce James, is preparing to make his mark in the basketball world. Set to turn 18 in June, Bryce will begin his college basketball career at the University of Arizona this fall.

On Sunday, he took a moment to honor his mother, Savannah James, with a heartfelt message for Mother’s Day.

Bryce James, a standout at Sierra Canyon School, is rated a three-star prospect by 247Sports. Before committing to Arizona, he received an offer from Ohio State in October 2023. Arizona extended its offer on New Year’s Eve 2024, and he committed the next day.

He officially signed with the Wildcats on April 21. Bryce will join head coach Tommy Lloyd as the team looks to build on last season’s NCAA Tournament Sweet 16 appearance.

Meanwhile, LeBron continues to defy age and expectations. The 13-time NBA All-Star, four-time MVP and four-time NBA champion wrapped up the 2025 season with another impressive campaign. Despite turning 40 in December, he averaged 24.4 points per game during the regular season.

Remarkably, James has played 70 or more regular-season games in back-to-back years. Drafted first overall in the 2003 NBA draft, he spent his first seven seasons with the before joining the Miami Heat, where he won two titles. He later returned to Cleveland and led the Cavaliers to a championship, then signed with the Lakers following the 2017-18 season. He won his fourth title with the Lakers in 2020.

In March, LeBron became the first player to surpass 50,000 career points. By April, he had moved into second place on the all-time games played list and recorded the 144th triple-double of his career.
