First baseman Freddie Freeman had a somewhat slow start to the 2025 season. But, that isn’t the case any longer. Freeman is red-hot right now. He’s appeared in 27 games so far and is slashing .361/.438/.701 with eight homers, 29 RBIs, seven doubles, and one triple. Freeman is leading the league in batting average at .361, slugging percentage at .701, and OPS at 1.139.

He continues to find a way to impress. On Thursday night, the MLB Now crew raved about Freeman’s performance so far and former MLB first baseman Sean Casey made a “no doubt” prediction that Freeman will one day be in the MLB Hall of Fame.

“You look at this right here, he’s one of 11 players with a .300 batting average, 500 doubles, and hit his 350th home run the other day,” Casey said. “We’re looking at a guy that’s going to be in Cooperstown, no doubt about it.”

The Dodgers obviously are fortunate to have him. He’s an eight-time All-Star, former Most Valuable Player, two-time World Series champion, Gold Glove Award winner, three-time Silver Slugger Award winner, and World Series MVP. All this guy does is win and if the Dodgers want to win another title he’s going to play a big role in it. What can’t this guy do? This feels like a pretty safe prediction for him.
