Raiders $54 Million Starter Makes Move Amid Holdout Speculation
Las Vegas Raiders left tackle Kolton Miller was one of the big winners from draft weekend. In the days before the 2025 NFL Draft, the team started getting linked to offensive tackles in the first round.
Had running back Ashton Jeanty fallen to them, they may have gone in that direction. However, the Raiders waited until late in the third round to add offensive line help.
That bodes well for Miller, who is. He was the only veteran player who didn’t show up to the Raiders’ recent voluntary minicamp, which led to speculation that he was going to hold out until he got a new contract.

While there has been no word on Las Vegas even being open to the idea, Miller has apparently pivoted. Following the draft, the Raiders have held phase two of their offseason program.
According to a picture posted on the team’s website, Miller was in attendance.
These are still voluntary workouts, so Miller could’ve easily continued to be absent without any penalty. He’s in the last year of his contract and has no guaranteed money yet, so it’s hard to imagine he won’t put some pressure on the team to get a deal done.
He has more leverage now that the Raiders didn’t draft a possible replacement who would be ready to play this season. Capable left tackles aren’t easy to find, and while Miller isn’t an All-Pro player, he’s been consistent for the team for several seasons. It’s hard to see a scenario where the Raiders don’t re-work his deal in some fashion.
