The play resulted in a foul, sending Edwards to the floor and momentarily halting the game. Edwards remained on the court for several moments, visibly shaken, but ultimately continued playing.

After a slow-mo video surfaced, the play quickly ignited reactions on social media, with fans criticizing James for what they perceived as a reckless and dangerous play.
