Luka Doncic Makes Steph Curry Admission During Lakers-Timberwolves

Luka Doncic got off to a hot start on Tuesday night as the Los Angeles Lakers hosted the Minnesota Timberwolves in Game 2 of their NBA playoffs opening-round series.

The Lakers entered this game down 1-0 after their brutal 117-95 blowout loss in Game 1, and Doncic knew fully well that he had to step up to get his team going on Tuesday night.

The five-time All-Star did just that by dropping 15 points in the first quarter to lead all scorers. He hit two triples as well, with his second one producing a hyped reaction from Doncic as he headed to the bench.

The Lakers superstar was mic’d up for this one, which meant that fans on social media were able to catch his Steph Curry admission right after the play.

“After the shot, I looked at the bench,” Doncic told one of his teammates on the bench. “I knew it was going in. I did my best Steph impression.”

As Doncic said, he just had to send a non-verbal message to the Wolves bench after he hit his trey. He then proceeded to copy one of Curry’s celebrations.

Naturally, he just had to give credit where it was due, which prompted Doncic’s shoutout to the Golden State Warriors superstar.

The Lakers cannot afford to lose on Tuesday because it would put them in a 2-0 hole as the series shifts to Minnesota for Games 3 and 4.

Doncic is very much aware of what’s on the line here, and his blistering start should serve as proof that he’s willing to do everything in his power to lead L.A. to victory.
