Alabama Receives Major Update on Top-100 2026 Recruit

The 2026 recruiting cycle is beginning to become clearer. With May just days away, official visits will start ramping up, followed by the commit season.

The Crimson Tide currently sits at No. 7 in the On3 Team Industry Rankings after a top-three finish in the 2025 recruiting cycle. With just five commitments, the has plenty of room to grow as its class continues to fill out.

Alabama sits in a prime position for multiple players, including five-star wide receiver Cederian Morgan, who is predicted to commit to the Tide by On3. Another positive wave of momentum came in on Wednesday when four-star linebacker Brayden Rouse included the Tide in his top four along with Texas, Tennessee, and Michigan.

According to the On3 Industry Rankings, Rouse is ranked as the No. 96 player in the country and No. 6 linebacker. At 6-foot-3, 210 pounds, Rouse is a highly-touted recruit with official visits scheduled with Texas on June 13, Michigan on June 6, and Alabama on May 30.

That the Tide will welcome Rouse before the other two programs could help Alabama win over the Marietta, Georgia, native.

Alabama’s five current commitments include five-star Jorden Edmonds and three four-star recruits. Edmonds is ranked as the No. 18 player in the country and the No. 2 cornerback according to On3.

The group also features three more defensive players with cornerback Zyan Gibson, EDGE Jamarion Matthews, and three-star defensive lineman Kamhariyan Johnson.
