Los Angeles Lakers rookie Bronny James has been spending his first NBA season splitting time between the NBA and the G League. With just 11 games remaining in the regular season, the Lakers are heading into a crucial stretch of their schedule. In preparation for their upcoming game against the Indiana lPacers on Wednesday night, it appears Bronny James will now be available to contribute.

After being listed on the injury report on Tuesday as being with the South Bay Lakers and unavailable for Monday night’s game against the Orlando Magic, it seemed James would continue his time in the G League.

However, after scoring a career-high 39 points on Monday and leading South Bay to another win on Tuesday, James has been recalled to the Lakers and will travel with the team to Indiana.

On Tuesday, James scored 17 points, added six rebounds, dished out a team-high nine assists and registered two steals. With the Lakers’ next game not until Friday, they will use this opportunity to add depth to their roster, especially with room available for extra players down the stretch.

The Lakers have been struggling, having lost three in a row, and are in desperate need of a turnaround as they fight to maintain their playoff position in the Western Conference.

James has appeared in 23 games for the Lakers this season, though his time on the court has been limited. That said, in the G League, he’s been making waves as the primary ballhandler.

James is averaging 21.9 points, 5.5 assists, 5.2 rebounds and 2.0 steals per game, shooting 46.0% from the field, 37.5% from the 3-point line, and 80.8% from the free-throw line.
